Every New Yorker deserves to feel safe in their home, on the subway, and in their neighborhood. Jason Murillo will fight to restore law and order by supporting our police, ending cashless bail, cracking down on repeat offenders, and holding city agencies accountable for rising crime. Public safety is the foundation of a strong, thriving community — and Jason will make it his top priority.

Small businesses are the backbone of our community and the key to local jobs and opportunity. Jason Murillo will cut red tape, lower taxes and fees, and protect neighborhood storefronts from unfair regulations and overdevelopment. He’ll fight to make it easier for entrepreneurs to open, grow, and thrive — keeping our local economy strong and our streets vibrant.

Jason Murillo will protect seniors from abuse and neglect by strengthening oversight of the guardianship system, ensuring transparency, and defending seniors’ rights to independence and dignity. He’ll fight for better care, accountability, and support for older New Yorkers.

Jason Murillo will fight to protect and improve NYCHA and preserve truly affordable housing for working families. He supports declaring a NYCHA state of emergency, freezing rents, and placing a moratorium on RAD/PACT conversions and evictions. Jason will demand transparency, accountability, and investment to ensure every resident has a clean, safe, and dignified home.

Jason Murillo is a lifelong East Village resident, community advocate, and NYCHA tenant leader running to bring common-sense leadership to Albany. He’s fighting to protect affordable housing, support working families and small businesses, restore public safety, and give a real voice to the people too often ignored by City Hall and Albany politics.
Jason Murillo’s rise in New York City politics began where his heart has always been — the East Village. A lifelong NYCHA resident and community advocate, Jason grew up witnessing both the challenges and resilience of working-class families. Determined to make a difference, he spent years helping seniors, tenants, and youth navigate the city’s bureaucracy and fight for fair treatment.
Without establishment backing or big donors, Jason launched a grassroots campaign for City Council that captured the attention of voters across District 2. His message — clean, safe, and affordable housing for all, law and order, and putting residents before politics — resonated deeply, earning him a strong second-place finish as a first-time candidate.
Now, as he continues his journey running for the New York State Assembly, Jason stands as a symbol of perseverance and community pride. He’s proof that an everyday New Yorker — not a career politician — can rise to represent the people, restore accountability, and fight for the neighborhoods that built this city.
